Problem statement

IndustrialMart needed to make a broad and potentially complex industrial product catalogue easy to navigate while supporting the different ways industrial products are sold. The platform also had to provide a reliable experience for both buyers and vendors while remaining responsive, scalable, and straightforward to deploy and maintain.

Structuring products across multiple industrial categories with different listing attributes
Supporting fixed-price, wholesale, and contact-seller pricing models within a consistent marketplace experience
Making a large amount of product information easy to search, filter, and browse
Managing multiple high-resolution product images without placing unnecessary load on the application server
Creating a responsive marketplace interface that remained usable on smaller mobile screens
Deploying and maintaining the frontend, backend, reverse proxy, and related services as a reliable production system

Solution provided

I developed IndustrialMart as a full-stack marketplace using Next.js for the user-facing application and Express for the backend, with Supabase handling application data and Cloudflare R2 providing object storage for product media. The platform was designed around reusable marketplace components and structured listing data, while Docker, Nginx, and GitHub Actions were used to create a repeatable production deployment workflow.
